12 Gauge

12 gauge is by far the most popular in the United States, next most popular being the 20 gauge. In the past shotgun shells were made entirely of brass, later of thick paper hulls with a brass head and finally in the 1980s plastic hull shotgun shells became commonplace. Shotgun Shells can be loaded with numerous, small pellets called shot, fired through a smoothbore barrel with a tapered constriction at the muzzle to regulate the extent of scattering. A shell can sometimes contain only a solid projectile known as a slug, usually fired through a rifled barrel. At Velocity, we strive to stock a wide variety of the best brands shooters are looking for.
