300 Savage
The .300 Savage cartridge was developed by Savage Arms in 1920. It is a rimless, .30 caliber center-fire rifle cartridge designed to replace the less powerful .303 Savage in the popular Savage Model 99. Despite the look of the cartridge compared to something like .308 Winchester, it is capable of propelling a 150 grain bullet at over 2600 fps.
