35 Whelen

The .35 Whelen is a powerful medium-bore rifle cartridge designed to not require a magnum rifle action or bolt-face. The .35 Whelen started as a wildcat cartridge in 1922 before it was picked up by Remington and standardized as a regular commercial round that was made available in the Remington 700 Classic in 1988. The performance of the .35 Whelen could generate 3500 ft lbs with a 250 grain bullet.
