6.5 PRC

The 6.5 PRC was designed with the goal of shooting a high ballistic coefficient bullet at 3200 fps from a shot-action rifle. The cartridge was released by Hornady in 2018 but it didn’t see mainstream attention until 2021 after production caught up to market demand. On paper, the 6.5 PRC is incredibly impressive with a maximum effective hunting range of 730 yards while still able to deliver 1500 ft lbs of energy at 510 yards.
