7.5x55 Swiss
The 7.5×55 Swiss or 7,5mm GP11 is a cartridge that was developed for the Swiss army; it originated from an early cartridge that was developed in 1898 for the Schmidt Rubin rifle. The original projectile was a hollow base, steel capped round nose bullet that was patched with paper. In 1911 metallurgy and Swiss firearms design had advanced allowing for the more powerful 7.5×55 cartridge we know, used in model 1911 rifles and converted 1996/11 Rifles.
