This ammunition is Lethal short range training ammunition, not “Simunition”.
Winchesters Short Range Training Ammunition is only to be used in M16 type rifles equipped with the M2 training bolt. The M2 Training bolt features no locking lugs making the rifle into a blow back gun. This ammunition will not function correctly with a standard bolt carrier group due to the locking lugs, this ammunition is loaded with a very small powder charge. Winchester 5.56 NATO is packaged in cases of 1000 rounds
The M862 bullet is made from polyethylene.
