Federal 9mm BPLE (+P+)

This is an economical, effective self- defense cartridge. It chronographed at an average velocity of 1278 FPS from my Glock 19 Gen-4. This load was originally developed for the Illinois State Police. When used by the US Border Patrol over a nine year period in the 1980s, it averaged 91% stops with torso hits. In barrel lengths under 3.5 inches, the muzzle velocity drops off sharply to the 1190 FPS range.

Great ammo but..........

This is superb ammo both on paper and in gel tests I've seen. However, if you are using an older pistol thats well used or perhaps you have a cop turn in you just got for Christmas make sure of two things. First that your gun manufacturer says your pistol is up to these pressures and even if so make sure your recoil spring is either new or in good order. These are loaded HOT!
